New VAT rules on charters outside EU waters suspended
Further clarification expected soon
Last Thursday, following discussions with the Ministry of Economics, FIN , the French Federation of Nautical Industries, hereby advises yachting professionals that the new regulations abolishing lump sum VATs payment on charters outside EU domestic waters will be suspended.

For the past months, until the outbreak of current health emergency, we had been working with National Agencies and Italian bureaus, to reach a common understanding. Our work will continue after the health crisis. Today we requested the French Government suspend the measures that should have entered into force on April 1, 2020. We will provide further details about our decision in the immediate future”.
Yves Lyon-Caen, Président de la FIN

We are waiting for the official announcement and further details. We will keep you posted in real time. Feel free to call if you would like to discuss.
